Our Story

From Our Family to Yours

When our daughter Arella was born, my wife and I made a decision that would shape our family's future: we would homeschool our children. Now, with both Arella (3) and Liora (1) filling our days with wonder and curiosity, we're more committed than ever to this path.

Why We Chose Homeschooling

Like many parents, we spent countless hours researching the best educational approach for our daughters. What we discovered transformed our perspective on learning itself.

Homeschooling offers something truly special:

Research consistently shows that homeschooled children often outperform their traditionally schooled peers academically, scoring 15-30 percentile points above public school students on standardized tests. But the benefits go far beyond test scores.

Follow Natural Curiosity
When Arella became fascinated with butterflies, we didn't have to wait for the curriculum to catch up—we dove deep into metamorphosis, visited gardens, and watched caterpillars transform before her eyes. Learning became an adventure, not a schedule.
Stronger Family Bonds
The hours we spend together aren't just about academics—they're about building relationships, teaching values, and creating memories. Our daughters will grow up knowing they're seen, heard, and valued every single day.
Individualized Attention
Every child learns differently. Arella needs movement while she thinks; she counts better when she's jumping. Liora is already showing signs of being a visual learner. At home, these unique needs are celebrated.
Protection & Real Socialization
Our girls interact with people of all ages—not just their age group. They're learning social skills from grandparents, mentors, and diverse community members, building confidence without peer pressure or bullying.

The Challenge That Changed Everything

But as any homeschooling parent knows, the decision to homeschool comes with real challenges.

I'll never forget watching my wife at our kitchen table one Sunday evening, surrounded by curriculum guides, printouts, and sticky notes. It was 10 PM. She'd been planning the week's lessons since 3 PM. Arella was finally asleep, but my wife's day still wasn't done.

"I spent seven hours planning this week. And I'm not even sure if what I've planned is right for her age level. What if I'm missing something important? What if I'm not teaching her what she needs to know?"

That fear—am I doing enough? Am I doing it right?—kept her up at night. The compliance requirements for our state added another layer of stress. Deadlines, documentation, attendance records—the administrative burden was overwhelming the joy of teaching.

I saw the woman I love, who had chosen this beautiful path for our daughters, drowning in the logistics of it all.

A Developer's Solution

As a software developer, I solve problems for a living. But this was personal. This wasn't just about code—it was about giving my wife back her time, her confidence, and her peace of mind.

Late at night, after both girls were asleep, I started building something. A simple tool that could take what we knew about Arella—her age, her interests, her learning style—and generate a week of lessons in minutes instead of hours. Something that would align with educational standards so my wife could sleep soundly knowing she was teaching the right things. Something that would track compliance automatically, so we'd never worry about missing a state requirement.

The first version was rough. But when my wife used it to plan the next week in just 15 minutes—compared to her usual 5-7 hours—something clicked.

"This changes everything."

Why We're Sharing This With You

We didn't build HomeschoolHub to start a business. We built it because we lived the problem. We know what it's like to question yourself at 11 PM, wondering if you're doing right by your children. We know the weight of compliance deadlines. We know the chaos of juggling multiple children at different grade levels.

But we also know the indescribable joy of watching your child's eyes light up when something clicks. The pride when they master a concept you taught them. The deep satisfaction of knowing you're not just educating their minds, but nurturing their hearts.

  • You shouldn't have to choose between spending time actually teaching and spending time planning.
  • You shouldn't lose sleep worrying about compliance requirements.
  • You shouldn't feel alone in this journey.

HomeschoolHub is our gift to the homeschooling community—from one family to yours. It's the tool I wish had existed when we started. It's built by a homeschooling parent, for homeschooling parents.

Our Promise to You

Every feature we build, every improvement we make, comes from a simple question: "Would this help my wife teach our daughters better?"

We're not a faceless corporation. We're a family, just like yours, trying to give our children the best education we can. We understand your fears because they're our fears too. We celebrate your victories because we know how hard-won they are.

When you use HomeschoolHub, you're not just using software—you're joining a community of parents who believe their children deserve better. Who are willing to make sacrifices to give them a personalized, loving, value-centered education.

Rumen

Founder & Developer

A software developer who traded late nights coding for clients to late nights coding for homeschooling families. When not building HomeschoolHub, you'll find him on the floor playing blocks with Liora or reading stories to Arella.
Luba

Co-Founder & Lead Homeschool Parent

The real hero of our story. She's the one in the trenches every day, teaching lessons, answering questions, and turning everyday moments into learning opportunities. Every feature in HomeschoolHub exists because she needed it first.
Arella (3)

Chief Testing Officer

Our curious, energetic firstborn who inspired this whole journey. She's convinced that counting is better done while jumping, and honestly, we can't argue with her results.
Liora (1)

Assistant Testing Officer

Our sweet youngest who already wants to do everything her big sister does. She's teaching us that every child learns differently, and that's exactly as it should be.

Looking Forward

Arella is already reading simple words. Liora babbles along with our lessons, eager for her turn. In a few years, we'll be managing multiple grade levels, different subjects, varying learning styles—all the challenges you face today.

We're building HomeschoolHub not just for the present, but for our own future. As our family grows and our needs evolve, this platform will grow too. Every parent who uses it, every piece of feedback we receive, makes it better—for you, for us, for all of our children.

From Our Hearts to Yours

Thank you for trusting us with something so precious: your children's education. Thank you for choosing the challenging, rewarding, life-changing path of homeschooling. Thank you for believing, as we do, that your children deserve an education as unique as they are.

We're honored to be part of your journey.

  • May it give you confidence that you're teaching the right things at the right time.
  • May it give you peace of mind that you're meeting every requirement.
  • And may it remind you, on the hard days, that you're not alone. There's a dad in his home office, late at night, building features because he wants his daughters—and yours—to have the best education possible.

God bless you and your homeschooling journey.
