Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to HomeschoolHub! By accessing or using our homeschool planning platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Description of Service

HomeschoolHub provides a web-based platform for homeschool planning, including:

• 14-day free trial with access to all features
• Access to 750+ pre-built lesson plans for grades PreK-5 (US) and up to Year 6 (UK)
• Weekly calendar and scheduling features
• Compliance tracking and reporting
• Digital portfolio management (Complete plan only)
• Progress analytics and insights (Complete plan only)

Features and availability vary by subscription tier. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• One account may not be shared by multiple families
• You may not use another user's account without permission
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

Subscription and Billing

Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription tiers:

• Trial: Free for 14 days - Access all features with no credit card required. After trial expires, upgrade to a paid plan to continue accessing lessons.
• Starter Plan: $6.99/month - 1 child profile, unlimited lesson selections, full compliance tracking, CSV exports, and access to 750+ lesson library.
• Complete Plan: $12.99/month - Unlimited child profiles, unlimited lesson selections, full compliance tracking, digital portfolio (500 files, 1GB storage), advanced analytics & reports, and priority support.

Free Trial

• New users receive a 14-day free trial with access to all features
• No credit card is required to start your trial
• After the trial period expires, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue accessing lesson content and premium features
• Trial is available once per user and cannot be used repeatedly

Billing Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
• Payment is processed through Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our billing portal
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• You will retain access to paid features until the end of the paid period
• No partial refunds are provided for unused time in a billing period, except as provided in our 30-day money-back guarantee

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

New subscribers to any paid plan (Starter or Complete) are eligible for a full refund if requested within 30 days of the initial paid subscription date. This guarantee:

• Applies only to first-time paying subscribers
• Does not apply to renewals or plan changes
• Cannot be used repeatedly or combined with other offers
• Requires cancellation of the subscription

To request a refund, contact us at support@homeschoolhub.app within 30 days of your initial payment.

User Content

Your Content

You retain all rights to content you upload to HomeschoolHub, including:

• Portfolio photos and documents
• Custom lesson modifications
• Notes and annotations

License to Use Your Content

By uploading content, you grant HomeschoolHub a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and display your content within your account
• Process your content to provide features (e.g., image optimization)
• Back up your content for data recovery purposes

We will never: Use your children's photos, names, or work for marketing without explicit permission, or share your content with third parties.

Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload content that:

• Violates any law or regulation
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains viruses or malicious code
• Is inappropriate or harmful

Lesson Plans and Content

License to Use Lesson Plans

All lesson plans, templates, and educational content provided by HomeschoolHub are licensed, not sold. You may:

• Use lesson plans for your own homeschool (non-commercial use)
• Customize and adapt lessons for your children
• Print lessons for personal use

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or share lesson plans with others
• Use lesson plans in a commercial homeschool co-op or tutoring business without a separate license
• Remove copyright notices or attribution
• Copy or reproduce our lesson content on other platforms

Educational Disclaimer

HomeschoolHub provides educational resources and planning tools as a service to parents and educators. We do not:

• Guarantee specific educational outcomes or results
• Provide educational services, teaching, or tutoring
• Act as an accredited educational institution
• Provide legal advice regarding homeschool compliance

Parents and guardians are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with their jurisdiction's homeschool laws, supervising their children's education, and determining the suitability of any educational materials for their children.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
• Use automated scripts or bots to scrape content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Collect or harvest user information without consent

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of HomeschoolHub (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, lesson plans, software, and code) are owned by HomeschoolHub and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeschoolHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HomeschoolHub and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user or third party
• Content you upload to the Service

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms or our policies
• Harms other users or HomeschoolHub
• Exposes us to legal liability

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Governing Law and Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

For any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service:

• You agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@homeschoolhub.app
• If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may initiate binding arbitration
• Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association
• Either party may seek injunctive relief or other equitable remedies in a court of competent jurisdiction
• You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration

Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HomeschoolHub regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to anyone else. We may assign our rights to any affiliates or successors without restriction.
